In this past week I've seen lots of movies.
I've seen Limitless the story of a guy who takes a drug - NZT - and can do whatever he likes, it bestows him with super human abilities, enabling him achieve great things.
I've seen No Strings Attached - with the hotties Ashton Kutcher and Natalie Portman. They try to keep their relationship strictly physical, but who can do that? The girl is afraid of commitment, but also a hell of a fighter and for that she deserves some credit. Unlikely Natalie's other character in Love and Other Impossible Pursuits, a girl who is not a winner or a loser just a goer, always lacking something!
I have even seen the national movie Bruna Surfistinha. The story of a prostitute in Brazil. Can't hope much glamour or love from it. The girl is definitely a survivor.
How do you know with Reese Witherspoon, Owen Wilson and Paul Rudd was also on the list. And along with great cast comes great responsibility. I guess my expectations were too high. But the story makes you realize that perfection is sometimes too much and it's important to live the questions themselves than jumping to find the answers. (I think it's a movie that I can come to love if I watch it for a second time.) For the record, line of the movie: "I don't know if I have what it takes for everybody's regular plan".
And it's with a certain sense of irony that I finish this post saying the movie which rocked the week, was a teen (oh mine!) movie I had a vague feeling could be good: Easy A. Tells the story of a smart girl with a very strong personality and a kind heart. See for yourself:
Give it a shot and have a lot of fun watching Olive with her let's-not-and-say-we-did history!
And by the way - hi! I missed being around here.
